Our Origin
Where it Began
Every great company starts with a moment. Ours began on Kilimanjaro, when Graham Noble met Zidane Juma — an exceptional guide with an even more exceptional dream: to build something that would genuinely change lives in his community.
That conversation became a partnership. That partnership became Vertical Sky. Alongside Graham's son Jenson and wife Toni, a small team set out to prove that adventure tourism could be done differently, ethically, transparently, and with real purpose at its core.
We are based in Arusha, at the foot of the mountain we love. We are not a global travel agency with Kilimanjaro in a brochure. We live here. This is our home, our mountain, and our community.

Our Guides & Support Team
Behind every successful climb is a team of extraordinary people. Our guides are certified professionals with deep knowledge of Kilimanjaro's routes, weather patterns, and altitude medicine. Many have summited the mountain dozens of times — yet they approach each climb with the same respect and attention they gave the first.
Our porters are the backbone of every expedition — carrying equipment, building camps, and providing the logistical foundation that allows you to focus entirely on your climb. They are paid above local industry rates, fed nutritious meals, and treated as the valued professionals they are.
