A Company Born from a Guide's Dream
Vertical Sky began with a chance encounter between a climber and a guide — Zidane Juma — whose vision of a better life sparked something bigger than either of them imagined. Together, we built a company where the mountain isn't just a destination. It's a vehicle for change.
We are not the cheapest operator on Kilimanjaro. We are the most principled. Our guides and porters earn above industry wages, receive ongoing training, and are supported through community development funds with every climb. Your adventure is their livelihood — and we honour that.
